Lina UCHIDA

Born in Tokyo, Uchida now lives in Hangzhou City and studies at the China Academy of Art. After graduating from the Faculty of Design, Tokyo University of the Arts, she completed a master’s course at the same university, majoring in dyeing and weaving. She has exhibited in 2022 “PAPER: Paper and Contemporary Art ” Kumamoto City Museum of Contemporary Art, and “Takamatsu Contemporary Art Annual vol.10” Takamatsu City Museum of Art. Based on her view of life and death reconstructed from her own origins, she creates three-dimensional installations using Japanese paper and multi-media expressions. In recent years, she has attempted to create works that touch on “intersection with others” and the “ordinary and extraordinary.”
