Zzyw

Zzyw is an art and research duo formed by Yang Wang and Zhenzhen Qi in New York, 2017. It produces software applications, simulation, and text as instruments to examine the cultural, political and educational imprints of computation.

Zzyw had been members of New Museum’s art and technology incubator NEW INC, resident artists of Pioneer Works, resident artists of new media art center EYEBEAM and residents of indie game platform BabyCastles. Zzyw’s work has shown in Power Station of Art, National Museum of China, Rhizome, among others. Zzyw regularly teaches worldmaking and media theories in institutions like The Cooper Union, New York University and more.
